Challenge We Discovered: Building a restaurant concept from scratch through the environment of a food truck only. (Mobile Kitchen).
Our Creative Solutions: HipBurger and Ghost Brands established a vision that would bring people together through a simple menu, lovable brand, and food that you can eat everyday without regret.
On-Going Campaigns: As the social media, branding, and advertising arm of HipBurger; Ghost Brands developed campaigns that stand the test of time. From local & guerilla marketing strategies to regional campaigns that rival massive private equity restaurant groups. We wanted a brand that felt like a national chain, but with local vibes.
The HipMaster
As HipBurger’s brand presence grew strong enough that many assumed it was a franchise, we saw an opportunity to humanize the momentum. That’s when The HipMaster was created; a bold, larger-than-life character inspired entirely by founder Daniel Knowlton, designed to personify the attitude, energy, and culture behind the brand.
The HipMaster became more than a creative asset; he became a recognizable extension of the business itself. His launch also sparked our guerrilla sticker campaign, one of the most successful early brand-awareness pushes in HipBurger’s growth.

Ghost Brands led the development of the EatHipBurger App in partnership with Toast POS, creating a seamless mobile ordering experience that connects the brand directly to its fans. By integrating directly with Toast, we eliminated third-party friction and helped HipBurger bypass platforms like DoorDash and UberEats; keeping more revenue in-house while strengthening customer relationships.
The app also introduced a built-in loyalty rewards system, giving guests the ability to earn points and exclusive perks with every order. Available now on the App Store and Google Play, the EatHipBurger App brings convenience, ownership, and brand loyalty together in one streamlined digital experience.
Collectable Stickers
Ghost Brands conceptualized, designed, and executed the entire HipBurger sticker campaign from the ground up; turning a simple giveaway into a full-scale brand movement. These retro, pop-culture-inspired stickers were distributed for free, blending nostalgia with modern edge to deepen the emotional connection between HipBurger and its fans.
Guests of all ages came from across the region just to collect the newest release while enjoying their favorite HipBurger meal. With one new design launched each month; spanning music, movies, TV, trends, and cultural moments, the campaign became a consistent, guerrilla-style driver of excitement, loyalty, and organic brand awareness.
Off The Chain
The Off The Chain campaign was built around a powerful double meaning that perfectly captured HipBurger’s identity. On one hand, the food was “off the chain”; bold, crave-worthy, and impossible to pass up. On the other, it reinforced that HipBurger is not a chain restaurant, but an original concept born in the heart of Greenville in the City of Mauldin. Now expanding into Anderson and Clemson with more locations on the way, the campaign celebrated both flavor and independence in one unforgettable message.
