Fifth Third Park

Client Official Start Date: February 2025

Challenge We Discovered: Separating the baseball team (Hub City Spartanburgers) from the stadium as two different entities vs one cohesive brand. With the naming rights being purchased by Fifth Third Bank; developing a “Home Of The Spartanburgers” was crucial for other events to take place outside or during baseball season that were not tied directly to the baseball organization.

Our Creative Solutions: Use the primary tenant (Hub City Spartanburgers) to showcase the venue as their “home” yet bring unique and attractive events that would craft the stadium as Fifth Third Park. With events such as Ingles Halloween, Morgan Square Madness, Walk to End ALZ, and famously our country concert with headliner Cole Swindell. These events showcase the park as its own entity but still paying homage to the baseball organization.

On-Going Campaigns: As the agency of record for Fifth Third Park; Ghost Brands utilizes its position as brand development, website partner, and production house to bring the visuals of the ballpark to the community. Through social media campaigns, event coverage, and baseball recognition; Ghost is continuously looking at opportunity to bring the community through Fifth Third Parks’ gates to see the facility that has revolutionized Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Brand Development

Ghost Brands led the full brand development and positioning strategy for Fifth Third Park, crafting comprehensive brand standards that clearly defined its identity beyond baseball. Our team established the distinction between the baseball organization and Fifth Third Park as the venue; a premier destination designed to host concerts, private events, festivals, and year-round community gatherings in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Through strategic messaging, visual systems, and implementation across digital, print, and in-venue touchpoints, we ensured the park stood on its own as a multi-purpose entertainment hub. By owning the execution from concept to rollout, Ghost Brands positioned Fifth Third Park as more than a ballpark; but as Spartanburg’s front porch for sports, culture, and connection.

Social Media Management

As the social media management team for Fifth Third Park, Ghost Brands leverages our in-house production content to consistently highlight the venue’s versatility and energy. From monthly themed events and corporate gatherings to private celebrations, we capture and distribute real-time storytelling that showcases the park’s full capabilities across digital platforms.

Through collaborations with local Spartanburg businesses and strategic content partnerships, we position the ballpark as the premier destination for event planning, hosting, and community experiences in the Upstate.

Website Development

At the start of this project, Fifth Third partnered with Ghost to create a website that felt understated, refined, and fully aligned with the brand and tone of Fifth Third Park. From day one, our focus was on thoughtful UI/UX, designing an experience that was intuitive, immersive, and effortless to navigate.

From the expanding pill-style header that commands attention to the clean zig-zag content flow that guides the eye, every design decision was intentional. The layout is simple, easy to read, and strategically accented with pops of color that naturally lead visitors through the story of the park.

When Fifth Third first broke ground, the website served as a digital construction journal, highlighting milestones through video, imagery, and timely updates. As the stadium rose, the site evolved alongside it. Each phase of progress was reflected online, ensuring the digital experience mirrored the physical transformation.

The result is a platform that grew in real time with the park itself, refined and finalized only when both teams felt it fully captured the vision.
